Stéphane Benezant has more than 20 years experience in corporate law, M&A and private equity (venture capital, growth capital, LBOs). He advises and assists French and foreign groups of all sizes, both listed and unlisted, investment funds, start-ups and company directors with their set-up projects, investment operations, external growth and internal restructuring, both in France and internationally.

Stéphane has also developed recognized expertise in corporate governance and international contracts, particularly in the negotiation of joint ventures, partnerships and consortia. He regularly assists corporate general management and legal departments with risk audits, reorganization projects and governance structuring.

He regularly works in the energy, environment, industry, services and NTIC sectors.

Prior to joining Squair, Stéphane was a partner in several renowned French and international corporate/M&A firms (Fieldfisher, Ginestié Magellan Paley-Vincent, Herald and Grant Thornton Société d'Avocats). Stéphane is a graduate of the Magistère de Juriste d'Affaires - DJCE and of the Master II Droit des Affaires et Fiscalité of the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
