Nicolas Maderay has been supporting private operators and public entities for more than 15 years in the context of their projects involving in particular the awarding and execution of public procurement contracts, complex contractual arrangements or grant agreements, until the legal and financial settlement of their non-performance or termination.

Nicolas intervenes in matters relating to public business law, both in advice and in litigation (appeals contesting the validity of contracts, pre-contractual and contractual referrals, etc.), and in particular in the sectors of public infrastructure and construction, renewable energies, as well as in the fields of public health and academic research (appeals contesting the validity of contracts, etc.), and in particular in the sectors of public infrastructure and construction, renewable energies, as well as in the fields of public health and academic research, start-ups or spin-offs resulting from the valorization of research involving partnership collaboration between public entities. and private.

Before being a lawyer, Nicolas worked for a long time in leading public authorities as a public procurement manager, or as a consultant in an engineering group supporting public authorities in the implementation of their infrastructure or public service projects. After settling down as an individual lawyer, Nicolas then joined the public law department of EY Société d'Avocats in order to develop this activity in Greater South-West, his region of origin, before joining Squair in 2025.
